How do I refresh my wallet? (Missing Deposit)

Did you send a coin to your wallet, but it's not showing in your balance? Are your Bitcoin or any of your other cryptocurrencies displaying incorrectly in your Exodus wallet? You get an error when trying to send? Did Exodus close unexpectedly? 

If so, then your wallet may be out of sync with the blockchain. If any of the above are happening to you, it's a good idea to manually refresh your individual crypto assets. A quick wallet refresh tends to fix a number of balance-related problems, and help your wallet correctly align with the network.

Below is an example of how to refresh Bitcoin, but this same procedure can be done with any asset in your wallet. They all behave in the same way.

  1. As a first step, make sure you are using the latest release of Exodus. You can upgrade here.
  2. Open your Bitcoin wallet by clicking on “Wallet” on the left sidebar, then choose “Bitcoin”.
  3. Mouse over the Bitcoin logo, and you will see a refresh icon. Click on the refresh icon.

4. A dialogue asks you if you want to rescan the blockchain. Choose "Rescan".When this process starts, individual transactions are counted and rebuilt. This is similar to recounting a drawer of money. When the refresh icon is finished spinning, all your transactions will be updated and refreshed.

This feature was improved in version 1.41.0. If you are using ANY older version it is important to update to the latest version of Exodus then follow the steps above. You can update to the latest version of Exodus by visiting: https://www.exodus.io/releases
