What is happening to Cardano?
The Cardano network upgraded from a centralized network to a distributed one through the Shelley protocol on June 29, 2020. This upgrade allows for more and more nodes to shift towards being run by the Cardano community. Once the majority of nodes are run by network participants, Cardano will be more decentralized and enjoy greater security and robustness as a result.
Shelley will also see the introduction of a delegation and incentives scheme, and a reward system to drive community adoption. As a proof-of-stake network, users stake their ada to participate in the network.

How is Exodus handling the Shelley hardfork?
We have deployed support for ADA on the Shelley protocol. This means that if you are holding ADA in your Exodus wallet, you'll be able to send, receive and exchange ADA just as per normal.
What do I need to do?
In order to send, receive and exchange ADA, you'll need to update your wallet to the latest version:
